Kronenburg

Ahh well, I have a nursery now, where I stumble upon roses I can´t live without. This is a relative to Peace (it shows I think). There´s an old garderner (ROSEgarderner) there who I like very much, he always has stories to tell. This one went: Well I had a friend who by the way is a composer, he had this rose and gave me a couple of stems, so I always makes some of thoose each year…. Of course I buy his roses;-) It starts out kind of beige on the outside and red inside and with age the flowers goes more and more towards burgund.

I can see him from my kitchenwindow, I placed it there to be able so enjoy it until the frost stops it flowering. Mld, sweet, perfumed, a kind rose I think. I will tend it carefully so it will grow really big;-)

Madame plantier

Åhhh jag älskar den, lite vek, lite hängig och starkt doftande, knopparnas foder är nästan det ljuvligaste på hela rosen. Står hos mig tillsammans med Ingrid bergman ett gammalt plommonträd och lavendel….

Lovely lovely, a bit weak and hanging, light green beautiful leaves and the leaves of the buds are the most appetizing sight. Very strong perfume. In my garden she lives together with Ingrid Bergman, lavender and a old gran plumtree…

Ingrid Bergman

Reddest and biggest of them all? My husband says they have a heavy smell and I can’t really feel it, to me they smell …roses, nice but nothing special. My nose is a disappointment to me;-) Well they are truly beautiful allthough they aren’t very oldfashioned. It is a lovely rose for taking inside, even the buds will bloom for weeks!

Comte de Chambod

Ahh what can I say? Stands on the morningside of the house, eating breakfast with the heavy heavenly perfume of this extreemely double and softly pink gentleman is VERY delightful. Remonts, get bushy.
Some say this is also Madame Boll, others say they are two different roses. No matter what it’s a treasure!

Climber from canada, one of the “new” hardy canadians. I really like the open fairly single roses. This WAS supposed to be entierly single..AND really red, but as so often when you buy plants online…it’s not. It has a place in my garden anyhow;-) (problem is, everything has;-)

Venusta Pendula

New for this year, lovely I think. It is going to ramble over the door to the backyard when grown up;-) Faint smell, has flowered profusely although newly planted.

Ahh, the rose impersonated. Pink, lovely, healthy leaves, thin perfume, climber is mine. Slow starter but will grow fast once established.
